Project Dragonfly

An exciting project to encourage active family play
and quality family time.

In November, project Dragonfly kicked off with a "zoo animals" theme. The children and their carers got very creative making fabric and wool collage monkeys and using different textured combs through paint to make the elephant's skin. They also loved dressing up in our animal costumes and making lots of animal noises.

Sand-play in our recent zoo theme

If your children get excited by animals and zoos, then when not borrow one of our playsets? We have zoo and farm sets suitable for all age groups, and also have "Lion King" and "On The Farm" story sacks.

We also had a visit from "Muscial Bumps" who got everyone moving and singing. Great fun and a good way to encourage a more active lifestyle.

In December we are building up our Princess' Ball theme. The children have used printing techniques to build up the castle walls and have added lots of twinkly stars to our huge 8 foot long mural. Two dashing horses can also be seen making an impressive entrance. Again dressing up is very popular, and our fairy and princess costumes are very popular. Chiffon scarves, old net curtains and coloured-crepe paper can also make wonderful princess costumes at home. In our craft shop we have colour-in fairy wings and crowns that you could make at home.
